StockIntelApp ("we", "us", "our") is a stock research and intelligence platform available at stockintelapp.com. We provide market data, AI-powered analysis, and portfolio monitoring tools for individual investors.

2. Information We Collect

When you use StockIntelApp, we collect:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided via Google Sign-In or email/password registration.
• Usage data — tickers you search, watchlists you create, and alerts you set. This data is tied to your account and used to provide the service.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and access timestamps, collected automatically for security and rate-limiting purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the service (watchlists, alerts, saved analyses)
• To send price alert email notifications you have explicitly requested
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents
• To improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data is stored in their infrastructure.
• Market data providers — tickers you search are sent to Yahoo Finance and Finnhub APIs to retrieve public market data. No personal information is shared.
• Anthropic — when you run AI analysis, relevant market data (no personal info) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, after which your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Triggered price alerts are retained for 90 days for audit purposes, then permanently deleted.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit, JWT-based authentication, and row-level security on our database so users can only access their own data. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled by Supabase or Google OAuth.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of email notifications by deleting your alerts

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
